Ayushmann Khurrana is a bonafide star performer of the year for doing movies with strong content like Badhaai Ho and Andhadhun. His performance is being appreciated and good reviews are pouring in for him from all quarters of the industry. While work is fab, he is also dealing with a difficult time in his personal life. His wife Tahira has been diagnosed with cancer, stage one, and has been taking chemotherapy to cure the deadly disease. So, on the occasion of Karvachauth, he observed a fast for his wife. Because this year she couldn't. He even shared a picture with wife stating: Fasting for you was fun. Ayushmann exclusively spoke to Bollywood Hungama on this. He said, “I was just keeping the fast for her, I never thought it would go viral. I was getting love from everyone which was, I don't know, overwhelming.” He further said, “It's a patriarchal thing. It should be equal. If a woman is fasting for her man then why is he not doing it.” He also said that the fast was unique because this was the first time she could not do it owing to the illness and therefore he kept it for her. Ayushmann added, “She was touched with that, I think.” He signed of by saying that there was no agenda for anyone here but just a gesture for wife.
