On World Animal Day, Sidharth Malhotra urges fans to adopt and provide basic needs to animals

The world celebrates October 4th as World Animal Day. According to the official website, their objective is to raise the status of animals in order to improve welfare standards around the globe. Sidharth Malhotra, who actively spreads awareness about animal welfare, has urged fans to adopt and provide basic needs to animals in need. Sharing a video while visiting an elephants, Sidharth wrote, "We need to open our arms to the animals of the world. So many need our help. Some need to be adopted, some need basic care & some need to live in their natural habitat. The least we can do is talk & acknowledge. Participate. Show you care. Spread the word. #WorldAnimalDay." Building the celebration of World Animal Day unites the animal welfare movement, mobilising it into a global force to make the world a better place for all animals.  It's celebrated in different ways in every country, irrespective of nationality, religion, faith or political ideology.  Through increased awareness and education we can create a world where animals are always recognised as sentient beings and full regard is always paid to their welfare. On the work front, Sidharth Malhotra will be next seen in Vikram Batra biopic. He is currently prepping for the same.
