Cover Girl – Aditi Rao Hydari
The young actress who insists she is an artist before she is a star. She sports a bright red intricately embellished gown, perched on driftwood by the sea. Wind-kissed wavy hair and subtle makeup accompany.
"Yes, all the fame, money and hype that surrounds the medium of cinema is heady and exciting. But somewhere, I feel, I am an artist first, and that supersedes the box office rankings. I feel that is my primary responsibility, to deliver first as a good artist”
Aditi sports yet another stunning creation from JADE with a whole lot of jewellery as she sinks into the sand with the wind in her hair.
Aditi says, "I was a bundle of nerves performing at IIFA last year; it was my first time on stage. But I love that song, Vaan Varuvan, and when Rahman Sir asked me to sing, it was a dream. A lot of people asked me when are you going to sing? And I had always said if I do sing live, it would be with Rahman Sir, or Coke Studio"
Aditi looks drop dead gorgeous in this black and white picture! Aditi says, "I remember my teacher used to say, you do your riyaaz, but once you come on stage, you just keep yourself open and vulnerable, you tear your heart open"
Aditi sports maroon coloured separates of a top and a skirt with a headband and a statement ring. Bold eyebrows and nude lips round out her look.
Aditi says, "Happiness! It's always the little things & walking barefoot, feeling the earth, the dappled sun on your face, a surprise basket of fruit on your dinner table, a cycle ride, the sound of the ocean, the wind in your hair, a tight never-ending hug, smiling faces, food fresh from nature, dolphins in the ocean, rabbits peeking from behind the trees, the belief that everything is always magical, always!"
Aditi says, "I feel what truly made my mother beautiful was her total lack of self-consciousness. The moment you wear your beauty as a badge, you become ugly"
Its another stunning blue creation as she leans on a driftwood with waves lashing around her. Aditi says, "My mom was often compared to Audrey Hepburn and it flattered me when people said I looked like my mom”
On the professional front, Aditi will be seen in Pashmina with Manisha Koirala, a movie that involves four interwoven tales from the conflict-torn valley of Kashmir, vividly bringing life to a “world” most know little about beyond intimacy and political scale.
